Hey there! I'm Elijah—born and raised on the beautiful island of Kaua‘i. After college, I set off to explore the world, starting with Europe, where my love for culture, storytelling, and visual art truly came to life. What began as a passion for travel quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit of documenting the human experience through photography and film.

While living and working overseas, I met my incredible wife, Michelle, in Mexico—and together, we’ve continued building a life rooted in adventure, creativity, and purpose. I'm the founder of an international photography company, and my work spans across cultures and continents. From documenting everyday life to creating visual narratives that celebrate people, places, and moments—this work is more than a career, it’s my calling.

I specialize in all kinds of photography—lifestyle, portrait, documentary, travel, and surf (I never pass up a good swell!). I'm inspired by real connection, natural light, and the stories that unfold when you're fully present.

Meet our team! Leo a professional videographer from the Island of Cozumel! He is fluent in spanish and english and loves meeting new people. His specialty is filming weddings.

I'm Leonardo Lugo — filmmaker enthusiast, photographer, and storyteller, born in Chetumal and raised in Cozumel, where the colors, culture, and light have shaped the way I see the world.

I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was 10, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I truly leaned into my passion. Before that, I worked as a software developer — a world of logic and structure — but I couldn’t ignore the pull of filmmaking, the kind that stays with you long after the credits roll.

Visual storytelling became my outlet, and eventually, my obsession.

Though I work in wedding photography and filmmaking — and love the raw, honest moments that unfold in every celebration — my heart leans toward directing narrative short films. I’m drawn to the kind of cinema that speaks without words. Films that say everything through light, performance, silence, and emotion. I look up to directors like Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Tim Burton, and Spielberg — not just for their visual brilliance, but for the emotional gravity they bring to the screen.

This isn’t just a job to me. It’s the start of something bigger. I believe storytelling has the power to change people — and my dream is to one day move audiences the same way my favorite directors have moved me.

A few years ago, I crossed paths with Elijah, and through a shared vision and love for storytelling, we ended up creating together. Now, with Riviera Captura, we focus on capturing stories — real ones, emotional ones, the kind that matter.
